The HALO SleepSack, is the perfect answer to that question. Developed by a mom, who lost her baby to SIDS, the SleepSack is a wearable blanket that replaces the need for blankets. I bought a HALO SleepSack for Blake, when he was younger, and it was one of my most used purchases. Not only did it keep him warm, but he wasn't able to undress himself at night anymore.LOL I love that they also sell Swaddle SleepSacks for infants!
SleepSacks come in a wide variety of fabrics and patterns. They can be purchased online at HALO or Babies R' Us. The HALO SleepSack makes an awesome baby gift and they even sell some great gift sets.

There are several I like, but I think I like the Comfy Fleece Sherpa SleepSack™ Wearable Blanket - On-the-Go in sage the best.
