Christmas Shopping...

Why does it always seem that we say that we have enough for the kids, but the minute we go into toys r us we go wild. It is like we regress into remembering how much fun it is christmas morning. The stocking stuff will never all fit into a stocking, but yet we buy it anyway. We have managed to somewhat remain on budget, but I still don't know where it will all go. We have plenty for my 4 year old son, but don't quite know what to get the 3 month old. There has to be enough under the tree that the older one will not question why his brother doesn't have as many presents. Any suggestions for infant gifts? I could use some help. Good luck getting your shopping done.

I can never keep myself from buying something when I go to the store, it just draws us in.

I'm sure you've already thought of these for baby gifts, but what about clothes, rattles, little toys. You can even wrap up things you'd need anyways, like diapers, wipes, etc. Because your little one won't know the difference yet and it'll even out the number of gifts. Happy shopping!

It's tough to buy for an infant boy if he has a big brother because you probably already have tons of toys for boys. I think that I would go for a security type plush, maybe something he can sleep and cuddle with? Sorry I don't have a better suggestion.

I'm having the same problem. I have a 5 month old boy. All I can think of is teethers, socks, little toys. Nothing interesting.

It doesn't hurt to buy things he'll be able to use in a few months! Last year I got my youngest a "Go & Grow Giraffe" that is a chair when facing backward and a rocking giraffe to ride when facing forward. He still loves it!

Buy stuff he can grow into. That's what we always did. Our first Christmas we had a 6month old then our second christmas we had an 18month old and a 3month old so it was rough but they played with each others toys. GL with the toy shopping.

My son will be 5 months come Christmas morning and we are planning to introduce solids that day, so i've wrapped up bowls, spoons, even the food grinder i bought myself to make the food. also he started teething a bit back and is in love with "brushing his teeth" you could wrap up a little finger brush that's cute...or for either boy or girl you could get some bright colored sheer scarves..most kids love having those danced about around them or drawn over their faces. also the diapers and wipes thing is a must to add numbers to the gifts.
