Review and Giveaway: Peak Fresh Bags CLOSED

Both of my boys love fresh fruit, but I only get to the store once a week, so I have to stock up while I am there. But, I get so frustrated with how quickly my fruits and vegtables spoil. That was until I found Peak Fresh.

Peak Fresh bags are made using a Modified Atmosphere Packaging film specifically developed for the packaging of fresh fruit and vegetables, which releases the ethylene gases that cause produce to spoil. If the bags are used with refrigeration at correct temperature levels, these bags will extend the life of your product and maintain its freshness. They can even double the life of your produce!

Peak Fresh was nice enough to send me a box of their Home Pack Produce Bags to try. I have always been very skeptical about these types of products, so I was very excited to give it a try. Must to my surprise, the bags worked really well. I have used them for iceberg lettuce, and it kept my half cut lettuce fresh for over a week.

I love that the bags can be reused after being washed! This really extendes the value of the product. I think this is a great purchase, especially if your family likes fresh produce.

This is also a great product in these tough economic times, when we are all trying to stretch our dollars. It has been determined that a family of four will throw out an average of 24 pounds of fruits and vegetables per month, mostly due to spoilage.

10 reusable bags can be bought for only $5.00 and can be purchased online at Peak Fresh, or at select grocery stores nationwide.

The great news is Peak Fresh has offered one lucky reader a 3 month supply of Peak Fresh bags. You know you want to see how much food they will keep you from tossing, and all you have to do to win is follow the rules below.

1) Visit Peak Fresh and tell me what you learned about their bags.

It removes the ethylene gas that promotes food deterioration and also reduces the fog which causes excess water buildup. I need these.
